You can visit Fort-de-France Cathedral, a cathedral that is actually a national monument of France. The French architect Pierre-Henry Picq designed and it is made entirely from wood. He created the design for the Schoelcher Library also, a library that was built more than one hundred years ago and who has the name after Victor Schoelcher, as a sign of thanks. The library is made from iron and glass. Also near the Schoelcher Library you can take a long walk and relax in the central park called La Savane. It is said that in the past it was called “Jardin du Roi” and here some experiments on plants were done.
